Turkish pastries with tahini

Ingredients


    To prepare the dough:

    1 teaspoon salt

    1 tablespoon sugar

    1 tablespoon instant yeast

    Flour as needed

    1 ½ cup warm milk

    ½ cup of oil

    2 tablespoons of room temperature butter

    To prepare the filling:

    1 ½ cup tahini

    1 cup sugar

    To decorate:

    1 egg yolk

    Sesame


How to prepare


    Put in a bowl each of the warm milk, sugar and yeast and stir until completely dissolved, then leave it for ten minutes until the yeast reacts.

    In another bowl, put 3 cups of flour, salt, butter, oil and yeast mixture, then start adding flour gradually and continue kneading until we have a soft, non-stick dough.

    Cover the dough and set it aside in a warm place until it doubles in size.

    In a bowl, mix the tahini and the sugar until completely mixed.

    Cut the dough into even balls, sprinkle a flat surface with flour, stretch each of them, put the tahini filling in it and roll it tightly.

    Cover the rolls and let them brew for half an hour aside.

    Then we roll each of them on top of each other, then spirally and squeeze them a little.

    We put butter paper on the oven tray, arrange pastries in it, brush it with egg yolk and decorate with walnuts and sesame according to taste.

    We heat the oven at 180 degrees and put the tray in it for about half an hour until it takes a golden color from the top.

    Take the pastries out of the oven so that they are ready to be served.
